Zoom, zoom, zoom (we're going to the moon)

I was just singing with my daughter and we got started on one of my very favourites. It goes, "zoom, zoom, zoom, we're going to the moon / zoom, zoom, zoom, we'll get there very soon!" Do you know that one?

Any way, it got me thinking as I often do about lunar cycles. Why do I concern myself with something as unremarkable as lunar phases?
Because we woman are lunar beings! Just as the moon's gravity influences the tides on our planet, it also has a huge pull on our wombs.
Just as our cycles average 28 days in length, the lunar month is the same number. The fertile days and menstruation days of most women tend to cluster around either the full or new moon. Isn't that amazing?!
As a birth worker, I've noted often that births tend to happen on full or new moons especially if it is stormy.
If you are trying to conceive, get to know lady luna. See if your cycle matches up and it may help you find your fertile days.
Are you heavily pregnant and longing to meet your new baby? Take heart, a full moon is approaching and, perhaps with it, your big day!
